Roots Relocated is a female-led, family-owned, family-operated, relocation and downsizing support service based on Southern Vancouver Island.
For over 40 years, our family roots have been firmly planted in this region. We’ve raised families here, built long-standing relationships, and watched communities grow and change over generations. That history gives us a deep understanding of this place — not just its geography, but its people.
When it comes to relocation, resettling, and major life transitions, local knowledge matters. Knowing who to call, who to trust, and how things actually work on the ground can make all the difference.
Because we’ve been part of this community for decades, many of the professionals we refer to — movers, organizers, cleaners, realtors, care providers, and service partners — are people we’ve worked alongside for years. In many cases, we’ve watched their families grow alongside our own. These aren’t transactional referrals; they’re trusted relationships built over time.
Roots Relocated was created to offer calm, practical, and compassionate support during moments that can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re downsizing, relocating, or helping a loved one transition, we approach each situation with care, respect, and an understanding that every move carries both logistics and emotion.
With respect and gratitude
While our family’s roots on Southern Vancouver Island span over four decades, we recognize that all settler histories here are recent in comparison to the deep and enduring presence of the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded this land since time immemorial.
We are grateful to live and work on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish and Nuu-chah-nulth Nations, and we acknowledge their ongoing stewardship, knowledge, and hospitality. We offer this recognition with respect and an understanding that our work — and our ability to call this place home — exists because of their care for the land and waters.
